The Moments That Live In August
Another summer morning. Another boat heading out. August has nowhere else it needs to be.
In August, it becomes too easy to look past what is still in front of us. You don’t need assembly instructions to show up for this part of the summer.
August is so much more than a waiting room for the next season.
I know you’re not ready to start counting down weekends.
Neither am I.
There is nothing wrong with a little rest before another day’s work.
Lights on. Flags out. The street is empty.
The general store is waking up with the rest of us.
By August, the garden begins keeping its promises.
A quiet rhythm after all the noise.
Waiting for the world to show up.
Still doesn’t mean finished.
For now, August is still here.
Talk soon...
